Abstract:
This paper introduces two methods of locating the weight block of submerged buoy based on acoustic release equipment:Cross Method and Three-point Method, for taking back the deep-sea submerged buoy in a simple, scientific and effective way. The two methods can greatly save the time required for scientific vessel navigation in the taking back process and provide the support locating technique when the release equipment becomes invalid, so as to effectively reduce the potential risk of damage and lost of submerged buoy. Compared with the results of the USBL (ultra short base line) on board and ignoring the accuracy error of the device itself, the locating error of the three point method is 15.5 meters. In the case of 5 000 m depth, the locating precision of this method can reach 1%~2%.
