Abstract:
As a sophisticated tool for acoustic simulation, the Odeon software is capable of accurately modeling sound wave propagation in physical spaces and providing a scientific foundation for acoustic design. This paper analyzes with an analysis of the building structure and acoustic conditions of Shenjiamen Catholic Church, defining the design indexes and requirements for the acoustics of the church interior. The Odeon software is then used to simulate the sound field inside the church, identifying acoustic problems and potential improvement areas. Subsequently, a comprehensive set of design solutions integrating acoustics and decor is proposed, including the optimized selection of acoustic materials inside the church. Through simulation verification using the Odeon software, the results show that the design not only improves acoustic performance but also takes into account the beauty and harmony of the interior decoration. The research results not only offer specific guidance for renovating the acoustics of Shenjiamen Catholic Church but also serves as a theoretical and practical reference for integrated acoustics and decor design in other similar buildings.
