Abstract: Theory and circuit design of an ultrasonic fluid-mud bulk-density meter are discribed in this paper.Also experiment results of using this equipment to measure bulk-densities of different fluid mud samples are reported.This equipment is mainly used for measuring bulk-density of fluid-mud on river-bottom and deriving the profile of bulk-density with depth,and so it can be judged whether water way dredging needs to be done.
