Abstract: Frequency synchronization is one of the most important issues affecting performance of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) system.In this paper a new frequency offset estimation method using repeated symmetry sequences is introduced.Base on structure characteristics of the training sequence,a quite accurate frequency offset can be obtained through a data correlation operation.Precise estimation and a large estimation range can be obtained.Simulations in Additive White Gaussion Noise(AWGN) and Raleigh channel show validity of the proposed algorithm.
