Abstract: With loudness-adjusted car interior noise as sound stimuli, this work focused on listener′s property to subjective assessment of car interior noise quality. It is presented that listener clustering is very important to disclose the subjective perceptual structure of strong consistent car interior noise. It′s revealed that: for the descriptor 'preference', listeners should be divided into two groups. For group one, 'preference' has positive relation with descriptor 'low-frequency'; while for group two, 'preference' has negative relation with descriptor 'low-frequency'. And the perceptual structure can′t be revealed properly without listeners clustering.
