Abstract: Based on a study of ship wake characteristics,the principle and technique of the wake-guided torpedo are briefly analyzed.Emphases are given on the defense technique against the wake-guided torpedo while approaching and entering the ship wake.We point out that any currently available means cannot effectively combat the attacks of such torpedoes,and propose that only the multiple-layered and integrated method can achieve effective defense.
