Abstract: In order to improve precision of the measurement of material parameters in free field,a method is presented to correct experimental error.A physical model is established to correct experimental errors and the solution of scattering field is modified.An optimization algorithm is applied to determine geometric errors and parameters of material.Computer simulation and experimental results show that the inversion precision of material parameters is significantly increased after the geometric error correction.Values of the errors can also be estimated.
