时频编码在水声通信中的应用

The application of TD-MFM in underwater acoustic communication

  • 摘要: 研究了一种采用脉冲时延差和多频码元组合编码的水声通信技术。该技术利用多个频率分不同时隙去填充一个CW脉冲组成mbits的码元,用码元之间的时延值再携带nbits的信息,在接收端采用时延估计和频率检测技术进行解码,使得在保持较高通信速率的前提下,将码元间距扩展到足够宽,有效地克服了由于水声多途效应产生的码间干扰,减小了频带占用率,提高了通信可靠性。海试表明,采用TD-MFM技术数据传输速率较高,系统易于实现且稳健性较好。与FSK通信方式相比,其功耗大约减少75%,且误码率低,约为10-3-10-5。但该方案若有一个码元的时延测量错误,会导致后继一个码元也出错,因此,其纠错技术较复杂,相关研究正在进行中。

     

    Abstract: An underwater acoustic communication scheme using time delay and multiple frequency modulation technique is presented in this paper. It uses multiple frequency to fill in the CW narrow pulse′s chips for carrying m-bit information,and uses time delay between two CW narrow pulses filled with different frequencies to carry n-bit information. The receiver uses time delay estimation and frequency detector to decode. The chip interval is made long enough to overcome the multi-path effect,improve frequency band availability,and increase system reliability. Results of sea test show that,by using the time delay and multiple frequency modulation (TD-MFM) technique,the transmitting rate is sufficiently high and the system is robust.
