Abstract: This paper proposes a signal decomposition method based on mixed basis function,which ch-ooses over-complete Wavelet packet basis function to approximate wide-band component and cosine basis function to line spectrum. By introducing sparse decomposition,only few Wavelet packet basis functions are needed to accurately reconstruct the time-domain wave shape of the main continuous spectrum com-ponents.
