Abstract: A strange acoustic phenomenon at Sunan War Victory Monument in Zhenjiang city,Jiangsu Province. People found that not the firecracker sound,but the resonant bugle sound is heard at the time of setting off firecrackers. The research on the spot and the records of the reflecting sound was done. It has been known that the bugle sound is caused by the reflection of shock wave and the step length determines the tone of the reflective sound,and that the groups of the steps decide the syllables and the platforms,which are in the middle of the connections between every two groups,correspond to the intervals between syllables. As a result,the bugle sound with six notes is formed. The article has made more detailed analysis and interpretation.
