Abstract:
As one of the three most principal factors in active soanr system design, waveform design plays a very important role. The transmitted waveform not only determines the signal processing schemes, but also the system's velocity/range resolution, parameters estimation precision, reverberation suppression capabilities and tracking performances etc.In this paper, the reverberation suppression capabilities and acoustic tolerance performance of active sonar waveforms are analyzed by means of the Q-function and cross-ambiguity function. At the same time, practical sea trial data analyses are made to prove the feasibilities, correctness and effectiveness of these analyses.
