Abstract:
Based on linear three-dimensional elasticity theory,the displacements expressed circumferential wave controlling equation of orthotropic hollow cylinder is obtained.The axial displacement is independent of the other two directions.And the waves can be decomposed into SH wave and Lamb-like wave.Through the Bessel functions,the dispersion equation of circumferential SH wave is obtained.There are two elastic constant determining the SH wave characteristics,one controlling the wave frequency and the other controlling the wave velocity.Finally,The influences of the two constants and the wave number on the SH wave displacement mode shapes are discussed.
