Abstract:
A sandwich structure, in which the intermediate layer is rubber and the others are metal plates, is considered as sound transmission window.It suggests that both the longitudinal wave and transverse wave can transmit in the metal plate and rubber.By using transfer matrix, a plate sandwich model for acoustic designing is established.A titanium sandwich construction is designed by the model, and the sound transmission performance is analyzed for the construction.Numerical analysis shows that the titanium sandwich construction has good sound transmission.
