Abstract:
Acetic acid,hexyl alcohol and concentrated sulfuric acid were used for preparation of hexyl acetate by ultra-sound at room temperature.Ultrasonic frequency,ultrasonic intensity,temperature and amount of catalysts were inves-tigated.The optimum conditions at 30℃ were obtained as follows: the frequency is 10 kHz,ultrasound intensity is 1.0 W/cm
2,the amount of catalyst is 1.0%(v/v).The results show that ultrasound can enhance the esterification of reaction and the yield of esterification can reach more than 50%.This method has some advantages such asmild reactin condition,simple operation and high reaction rate.
