Abstract: Development overview on design and construction of professional concert hall since the 1990s in China is summarized in this paper.Acoustics design cases of professional concert hall completed by Zhang Kuisheng acoustical design and research studio over the past decade are described.Then four of those professional concert halls are introduced in detail.Those are Hunan concert hall,concert hall in China conservatory,Beijing,philharmonic hall in Xiamen international conference center and Yangzhou concert hall.Finally,key technologies and factors should be considered in acoustical design of concert halls such as the preferred reverberation time,shape and volume per seat,acoustical material and diffuser design in concert hall are discussed in detail.Those successful experience and suggestions are put forward for discussing.
