Abstract: In this paper a passive method is presented for locatig and tracking a noise source by use of circular array.which is different fron linear array,It can track target at all of bearing and the variance of range estimation is not depended on target bearing. The formulas of calculating range and bearing for circular array are derived,and ranging performance are analysed theoretically.The simulation results show that the theoretical analysis is correct.
