Abstract: The positive connection between underwater acoustic channel and OFDM system is briefly introduced in this paper,and then the pilot-based channel estimation algorithms,adaptive channel estimation methods,subspace channel estimation algorithms and compressive sensing estimation algorithms in sparse channel are summarized.The characteristics of the above mentioned methods are generalized,and the advantages and disadvantages of various algorithms are compared.Finally,the development direction of underwater acoustic channel estimation in the future is pointed out.
