Abstract:
The Ready-Mixed concrete is widely used in many engineering projects in recent years, but the control of slump losses and the determination of setting time are always the problems to be considered by construction companies. In this paper three groups of concrete mixtures with water-cement ratio of 0.40, 0.50 and 0.60 are allocated respectively. The early longitudinal wave velocity and the slump and penetration resistance of concrete are measured. The relationships of longitudinal wave velocity with concrete slump and penetration resistance are fitted, which provides a support for monitoring concrete slump and penetration resistance by using longitudinal wave velocity.
