Research and Implementation of a Multi-degree-of-freedom Automated Ultrasonic Testing System for Complex-shaped Components
-
Abstract
For the ultrasonic C-scan inspection of aero-engine blades, a multi-degree-of-freedom detection system based on water-jet ultrasonic testing is integrated. The system includes hardware subsystems such as a six-degree-of-freedom industrial manipulator, a pulse excitation and receiving system, and a turntable system. The system operation software is written in C++ language based on the QT environment to realize the connection and control of the system's hardware equipment, the setting of system detection parameters, real-time A-scan and C-scan image display, and other functions. The system adaptation fixture was designed to connect the robotic arm with the ultrasonic transducer and the external water circulation system, thereby realizing water-jet ultrasonic testing. The system as a whole can carry out ultrasonic testing on large, medium, and small components, offering high flexibility and high detection efficiency. The experimental results show that the system has good application prospects in the detection of complex morphology components such as aviation engine blades.
