  • In this paper,an ultrasonic wedge horn is designed by FEM method.In order to optimize the structure of the wedge horn,the modal analysis and harmonic analysis are conducted.This can give a guarantee to get a longitudinal vibration pattern,and help to homogenize the amplitude distribution on the radiant surface of the wedge horn.Some cavitation corrosion experiments of the wedge horn are performed in water to check the result of FEM method.There is no distinct transverse vibration while wedge horn is running,and the amplitude is evenly distributed on the radiant surface.
