Abstract
A method of reverberation simulation for bistatic sonar system is proposed.The formula of equivalent plane-wave reverberation level is deduced in this method, which can be applied to volume reverberation, sea-surface reverberation, and sea-floor reverberation for bistatic sonar system.The attenuation law of average acoustics intensity is calculated by the equivalent plane-wave reverberation level.It is a simple calculation method for the simulation realization compared to the attenuation law of average acoustics intensity calculated by ray theory.Then the attenuation law of average acoustics intensity, the statistic characters and the time correlation of the simulated reverberation signal are tested.Compared with the theoretical researches, the results are coincident with each other.It can provide theoretical basis for target detection and information transmission technology.
