Abstract
The rear axle driving gear is the main component of the vehicle driving axle,and noise is one of the main specifications for it.In this paper,the minicar’s rear axle bevel gear produced by a factory in Guangdong is taken as a noise source,and the noise generated under the steady-state operation is the object of the experimental study,the paired comparison method is used for noise evaluation training and the scoring method for noise subjective evaluation experiments.Combining the objective noise parameters to conduct the subjective and objective sample correlation analysis shows that for the equal SPL gear noise,the greater the loudness value,the lower the people’s preference ex-tent.So,in addition to actively taking measures to reduce gear sound pressure level,reducing the loudness value is also an important approach to improving gear noise.
