Beam-space Direction of Arrival(DOA) algorithm based on independent component analysis

  • Beam-space transformation is an important preprocessing of direction of arrival(DOA),which fits for the large array and small source number situation and is able to reduce the computational complexity,but the existing beam-space DOA algorithms need the approximate directions of signals and cannot fit for all array.In this paper a beam-space DOA algorithm based on independent component analysis ICA) is proposed to solve the above problems,the algorithm gets the beam-space transformation matrix using ICA and has high resolution,which has no request for array manifold and approximate directions of signals.Simulation result reveals that the proposed algorithm has good performance.
